Storm and a Half, sire of grade I winner Downthedustyroad, has been acquired to stand at Wade Feuring's Rockin River Ranch in Winterset, Iowa. 
The 17-year-old son of Storm Cat is the sire of 216 winners among 301 starters from 11 crops of racing age that have amassed purse earnings of $11,319,629 through Aug. 18. He has 49 stakes performers19 of which are stakes winnerswith 2006 La Brea Stakes (gr. I) victress Downthedustyroad and multiple stakes winner and $395,130-earner Z Storm among his top offspring. 
Storm and a Half, who was unraced, is out of At the Half, a daughter of Seeking the Gold who was a grade III winner and a half sister to grade I winner Spruce Needles. He is a half brother to multiple graded stakes winner and stakes producer Lu Ravi and sold for $1.2 million at the 1998 Keeneland September yearling sale on the strength of his conformation and pedigree.
Storm and a Half previously stood at McDowell Farm in Arkansas. 
He joins grade I winner The Deputy on the roster at Rockin River Ranch, where his 2015 fee has been set at $2,000.
