Lane's End will consign grade I winner Dayatthespa, by City Zip—M'Lady Doc, by Doc's Leader, to the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November sale.
Dayatthespa's career includes eight black-type wins, of which three are graded stakes victories. In her most impressive win to date, Dayatthespa defeated six individual grade I winners (or eventual grade I winners) in the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes (gr. IT), including Better Lucky, Centre Court, Somali Lemonade, and Stephanie's Kitten.
On Aug. 24 she defended her 2013 victory in the Yaddo Stakes at Saratoga Race Course. New York-bred Dayatthespa has won at the New York racecourse for four consecutive years.
A model of consistency, Jerry and Ronald Frankel, Steve Laymon, and Bradley Thoroughbreds' Dayatthespa has hit the board 13 times in 16 career starts, going into her fall race campaign with earnings of $948,892.
"We are very excited to offer Dayatthespa this November at Fasig-Tipton," said Bill Farish, president Lane's End Farm. "She continually gives her fans goose bumps on the track and should provide the same excitement in the sales ring as she moves onto the next stage of her career."
City Zip is having a tremendous year as a sire. On North America's general sire list, he is the current leading sire by winners and ranks 8th by progeny earnings.
Trained by Chad Brown throughout her career, Dayatthespa is currently pointing toward the First Lady Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland.
