TOBA to Present Pedigree, Conformation Clinic

Forum scheduled for Oct. 18-19 in Lexington includes Keeneland racing action.

The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association is holding an educational "Pedigree and Conformation Clinic" Oct. 18-19 in Lexington.

The clinic, sponsored by Blood-Horse Publications, will cover conformational traits and faults, live conformation evaluations, pedigree theories, and planning matings. Clinic attendees will evaluate conformation at the Fasig-Tipton sales barns and Ashford Stud, and attend a private lunch and afternoon of racing at Keeneland.

Speakers include Dr. Robert Hunt of Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, Reed Ringler of Fasig-Tipton, Meg Levy of Bluewater Sales, Suzanne Smallwood of Equix, Peter Bradley of Bradley Thoroughbreds, Dermot Ryan, Scott Calder, and Adrian Wallace of Ashford Stud, Byron Rogers of Performance Genetics and TrueNicks, Ian Tapp of The Blood-Horse MarketWatch, and Susan Martin of Equineline.com.
