Two-time grade I winner Fashion Plate was the first offering to top the $1 million mark at the Fasig-Tipton November sale Nov. 3 when she sold for $1.2 million to Katsumi Yoshida.
The 3-year-old filly by Old Fashioned out of the Citidancer mare Miss Puzzle won the Santa Anita Oaks and Las Virgenes Stakes, both grade I, earlier this year at Santa Anita Park. She sold as a racing/broodmare prospect.
Fashion Plate, Hip 78, is Breeders' Cup-nominated and eligible to the Kentucky Thoroughbred Development Fund. She was consigned by St. George Sales, agent. She has raced for Arnold Zetcher and Michael Tabor.
