Sea The Moon, 11-length winner of the 145th Deutsches (German) Derby (Ger-I) in July, tops the 2015 stallion roster at Lanwades Stud near Newmarket, England.
The German-bred colt from the first crop of Sea The Stars will stand for £15,000, due Oct. 1. He was retired following a second-place finish in the Sept. 7 Longines Grosser Preis von Baden (Ger-I), after which it was determined Sea The Moon had sustained an injury similar to one he sustained in the German Derby.
The 3-year-old was retired with four wins and a second in five career starts.
Standing for £14,000 is Leroidesanimaux, the 2005 North American champion grass horse who has been represented by 11 stakes winners and progeny that have earned more than $17.5 million.
Completing the Lanwades roster are Archipenko, £10,000; Aussie Rules, £7,000; and Sir Percy, £7,000.
