Seasons to 33 stallions will be available through the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association of New Jersey 2015 Stallion Season Auction, which begins Jan. 30 at noon and ends Feb. 1 at 4 p.m.
The online auction is being hosted on the Starquine bidding platform at www.starquine.com. All participants must be registered with Starquine prior to bidding.
Many of the seasons available have no guarantees but several offer breed-back provisions. The stallions represent several states including Florida (1), Kentucky (6), New Jersey (4), New York (15), Maryland (6), and Pennsylvania (1).
Starquine offers an automatic bidding process that allows participants to enter the maximum amount they are willing to pay for a season. Starquine then keeps bidding on the buyer’s behalf until the maximum amount is reached or high bidder. Each season’s conditions will be posted as part of their auction page on Starquine.
All proceeds from the auction go to the TBANJ, which uses the funds for promoting the Thoroughbred breeding industry in New Jersey. Any questions should be directed to the TBANJ office at 732-542-8880.
