First Reported Foal for Archwarrior a Colt

Son of Arch stands at Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds in Central Florida.

The first reported foal for Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds stallion Archwarrior arrived Jan. 28 in Central Florida. The colt, out of the Dance Brightly mare Blue Grass Dancer, was bred by John Ocasio.

Archwarrior, a 5-year-old son of ArchWinner's Edge, by Seeking the Gold, was bred in Kentucky by Highfield Farm. He made only two starts for Alto Racing and trainer Todd Pletcher, but drew plenty of attention in his maiden win Aug. 30, 2012 at Saratoga Race Course, drawing clear by 3 1/4 lengths as the 1-5 choice. In his only other start he was fourth behind champion Shanghai Bobby  in the Foxwoods Champagne Stakes (gr. I) at Belmont Park.

Archwarrior's 2015 fee at Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds near Ocala, Fla., is $3,000.
