Delaware Park Limits Training Due to Drought

Due to a severe drought which has affected the state of Delaware, Delaware Park has curtailed training on both its main track and training track on Thursdays, until further notice.

In addition, any horsemen found with water hoses running unattended will be fined $250.00.

Sam Abbey, racing secretary at Delaware, said that most horsemen have accepted the training restriction with little or no complaints. Delaware's turf course, because it has been newly sodded, was still receiving some water.
