Six horses are expected to line up for Sunday's Hollywood Gold Cup (gr. I) at Hollywood Park. Among them are the first and third-place finishers in the June 15 Californian Stakes (gr. II), Milwaukee Brew and Momentum, respectively. Momentum had his final work Wednesday morning at Hollywood Park. The 3-year-old son of Nureyev breezed a half-mile in :47.60. "Momentum is very natural and willing," said trainer Craig Dollase. He trains the colt for John Paul Reddam, who purchased Momentum privately last fall. Ironically, it's Milwaukee Brew who has the momentum coming into this race. The Stronach Stables runner also won the Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) earlier this year. Bobby Frankel trains the 5-year-old son of Wild Again. Beyond Momentum and Milwaukee Brew, Dollar Bill, Macaneo, Out Of Mind, and Sky Jack are expected for the $750,000 race on Sunday. The race will be telecast from 6-7 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2 as the initial "Road to the World Thoroughbred Championships" broadcast. Sunday's Swaps Stakes (gr. II) from Hollywood will also be included in the broadcast.
