A filly from the first crop of Hill ‘n’ Dale stallion Violence bought in July for $25,000 returned a quick substantial profit for her owner when sold for $190,000 at the Fasig-Tipton October yearling sale.
It wasn’t quite to the levels of Books 1 and 2, but there was a lot of energy at the Keeneland September yearling sale as Book 4 selling began with a Sept. 20 session that yielded across-the board increases.
Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners went to $235,000 to purchase a filly from the first crop of Violence during the first session of the Fasig-Tipton July selected yearling sale. The filly was consigned as Hip 61 by Taylor Made Sales Agency.
The Keeneland November breeding stock sale's overall average remained up through the 12-day sale's penultimate day, but median was slightly behind after 11 sessions.
Hill 'n' Dale Farms has released its stallion roster and fees for 2016, but it hasn't yet announced the fee for its newly acquired stallion Curlin. His fee will be announced at a future date.
