Jockey Rene Douglas, seriously injured in a May 23 racing accident at Arlington Park, suffered a setback in his recovery process June 21 when he was transferred from the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago back to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The Illinois Racing Board has handed jockey Jamie Theriot a 30-day suspension for his involvement in a May 23 racing accident that caused a severe injury to Rene Douglas, the six-time leading rider at Arlington Park who may be permanently paralyzed and is currently recovering at a Chicago hospital.
