Just as she did in her last start, E. Paul Robsham's homebred Broadway's Alibi went wire-to-wire, this time scoring by 3 1/2 lengths in the $250,000 Comely (gr. III) and perhaps punched her ticket to the May 4 Kentucky Oaks.
Broadway's Alibi, a 16 3/4-length winner of the Forward Gal (gr. II) at Gulfstream Park in January, will attempt to deliver another brilliant performance when she tops a field of seven in the Comely (gr. III) at Aqueduct.
Odds-on choice My Miss Aurelia won the $150,000 Adirondack Stakes (gr. II) as expected at Saratoga Aug. 14, fighting off a determined Millionreasonswhy through the homestretch to prevail by a neck.
A handy winner of Belmont's Matron Stakes (gr. II) last month, undefeated Millionreasonswhy will try to keep it going in the $150,000 Adirondack Stakes (gr. II) at Saratoga Race Course Aug. 14.
Millionreasonswhy, invading from Colonial Downs, wore down pacesetting Say a Novena in the stretch and edged away late to register a handy win in the $150,000 Matron Stakes (gr. II) at Belmont Park July 3.
The Futurity and Matron (both gr. II), previously held during the fall, both make their reappearance July 3 at Belmont Park after a one-year hiatus. The Futurity drew a field of six, while the Matron attracted seven.
