Skyway, who gave trainer Mark Casse his first Del Mar victory in Sunday's $200,000 Best Pal Stakes (gr. II), is expected to return in the Del Mar Futurity (gr. I) on the meet's closing day Sept. 3.
Favored Skyway, a recent shipper from Churchill Downs, gave trainer Mark Casse his first victory at Del Mar Aug. 3 with a confident ride by Stewart Elliott in the $200,000 Best Pal Stakes for 2-year-olds (gr. II).
Story to Tell, winner of the recent Willard L. Proctor Memorial Stakes, should get a much sterner test against seven other talented 2-year-olds in the $200,000 Best Pal Stakes (gr. II) Aug. 3 at Del Mar.
Untested 2-year-olds take the spotlight at Santa Anita Park June 22 in a pair of $125,000 stakes events at 5 1/2 furlongs on the main track, the Santa Anita Juvenile and the Landaluce for fillies.
