When Grace Hall crosses Union Avenue from Barn 57 en route to an engagement in the $600,000 Alabama Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga Race Course Aug. 18, a plan masterminded by trainer Tony Dutrow could come closer to fruition.
Grace Hall, one of four grade I winners pointing to the Aug. 18 Alabama (gr. I), had her final serious work prior to the 1 1/4-mile race this morning, breezing four furlongs at Delaware Park in :49.40.
Top competitors including KY Oaks (gr. I) winner Believe You Can will be out in full force next weekend for the Alabama Stakes (gr. I), Sword Dancer Invitational (gr. IT), and Woodford Reserve Lake Placid (gr. IIT).
In what could be the most visually impressive race of the weekend, Grace Hall left her foes in the dust while taking the $400,000 Delaware Oaks (gr. II) by 3 3/4 lengths July 14 at Delaware Park.
Anthony Dutrow will send out three of the seven runners in the July 14 Delaware Oaks (gr. II), including likely favorite Grace Hall, who has already banked $900,000 in her young career.

Untried Grace Hall won the Spinaway Stakes (gr. I) like a true professional Sept. 4, stalking the leaders into the stretch and sweeping past favored Judy the Beauty to handily win the $250,000 event at Saratoga.
Judy the Beauty will face eight in the seven-furlong Spinaway (gr. I), which is the headliner on Saratoga's 12-race Sunday program. The daughter of Ghostzapper, undefeated in three starts, will make her first start on dirt.
