With a big late burst, undefeated Summer Front concluded his 2-year-old campaign with an impressive 1 1/2-length victory over favored Finale in the $100,000 Dania Stakes on the Gulfstream Park turf Dec. 18.
Finale, who disappointed as the favorite in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IT) last month, attempts to rebound when he heads a field of 11 in the $100,000 Dania Beach Stakes Dec. 18 at Gulfstream Park.
Wrote, owned by Mrs. John Magnier, Michael Tabor, and Derrick Smith, rallied strongly in the stretch and pulled away to easily win the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IT) at one mile on grass Nov. 5.
Mike Repole's pair of Uncle Mo and Stay Thirsty get in their final tune-ups at Churchill Downs for the Nov. 5 Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I). Both colts went five furlongs.
Sidney's Candy, a TVG Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) hopeful, covered a half mile on firm turf in :50 at Churchill Downs Oct. 25. He is trained by Todd Pletcher for WinStar Farm and Rubio Stable.
Stablemates Uncle Mo and Stay Thirsty, both headed for the Nov. 5 Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) at Churchill Downs, stayed on schedule with their latest breezes over the training track at Belmont Park Oct. 23.

This may be just the beginning for Finale, who earned a starting slot in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IT) with a three-quarters of a length win in the Summer Stakes Presented by TVG (Can-IIIT) on the Woodbine lawn.
Finale, a 10 1/2-length stakes winner in his last start, is expected to be the heavy favorite in the $250,000 Summer Stakes (Can-IIIT) Sept. 17 at Woodbine.
