When Ekati's Phaeton goes to the post in the $100,000 Old Hat Stakes (gr. III) Jan. 3 at Gulfstream Park, the filly will be starting a fresh season as a 3-year-old.
Fashion Alert heads a field of 13 2-year-old fillies set for the $400,000 race Oct. 3, opening day of the fall meet, which marks the first season of a new dirt surface.
Fashion Alert remained undefeated in two starts and picked up her first graded stakes victory in the process July 18, but had to work hard to do it in the $150,000 Schuylerville Stakes (gr. III) at Saratoga Race Course.
