WinStar Farm announced 2015 stud fees for most of its 22-stallion roster, which is headed again by leading sire Distorted Humor at $100,000 stands and nurses, and includes a new fee for leading freshman sire Super Saver.
- Bay Colt
- Born 2012
Super Saver's first crop began attracting attention at the 2013 yearling sales. His foals have only improved since then and have now placed the 2010 Kentucky Derby winner at the top of the freshman sire list.
Competitive Edge lived up to his 3-5 odds with a no-doubt-about-it romp in the $350,000 Hopeful Stakes (gr. I) for 2-year-olds on closing day of the Saratoga Race Course summer meet Sept. 1.
I Spent It tries to become the first 2-year-old since City Zip to sweep the Saratoga Special and Hopeful (gr. I) stakes if the son of Super Saver starts in the latter race Sept. 1, closing day at Saratoga Race Course.
