Recent Jim Dandy Stakes (gr. II) winner Texas Red turned in his penultimate breeze Saturday, Aug. 15, ahead of his planned bid in the Travers Stakes (gr. I) Aug. 29 at Saratoga Race Course.

American Pharoah looked every bit like his Triple Crown-winning self Aug. 2, winning the $1.75 million William Hill Haskell Invitational (gr. I) with ease at Monmouth Park.
Assistant trainer Jimmy Barnes said American Pharoah is "on the sharper side" for the Haskell, his first race since his smooth-striding 5 1/2-length Belmont Stakes (gr. I) triumph June 6 at Belmont Park.
Other than an anxious moment while walking to the Monmouth Park paddock for a schooling session, American Pharoah quickly settled down as he prepares for the Aug. 2 William Hill Haskell Invitational Stakes (gr. I).

For his first start since sweeping the Triple Crown, American Pharoah drew post four for the Aug. 2 William Hill Haskell Invitational Stakes (gr. I) to be run Aug. 2 at Monmouth Park.
Monmouth Park officials said July 30 that they reached out to other tracks to try to create a post-Triple Crown three-race series that would have carried a bonus.
