California Chrome will try to become the latest Kentucky Derby (gr. I) victor to also find success on the turf, joining the likes of recent Derby winners who excelled on grass like Animal Kingdom, Big Brown, and Barbaro.
In the first 2015 Kentucky Derby Future Wager, set to open a three-day run of betting Nov. 28, two-time grade I winner American Pharoah is the top individual morning-line choice at odds of 12-1.

California Chrome had his first breeze over the turf at Del Mar, after which trainer Art Sherman told reporters he would enter the dual classic winner in the $300,000 Hollywood Derby (gr. IT) Nov. 29.
Dual classic winner California Chrome handily worked four furlongs in :47 4/5 Monday, Nov. 17 at Los Alamitos Race Course in preparation for the Nov. 29 Hollywood Derby (gr. IT) at Del Mar.
Queen's Plate winner Lexie Lou and recent Twilight Derby (gr. IIT) winner Long On Value head a list of 22 sophomores nominated along with California Chrome for the $300,000 Hollywood Derby (gr. IT) Nov. 29 at Del Mar.
With his victory in the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), Bayern moved into a tie for sixth on the Longines World's Best Race Horse Rankings.
Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner California Chrome is expected to conclude his 2014 season and make his turf debut in the Hollywood Derby (gr. IT) at Del Mar Nov. 29.

The racing career of California Chrome would come to an end with a poor performance in the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) Nov. 1, one of his owners said in a published report.
The Breeders' Cup unveiled its pre-entrants for the 31st World Championships the morning of Oct. 22 at Santa Anita Park, with 201 horses named for the 13-race festival Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
While California Chrome's lone start since the Triple Crown didn't go as planned, trainer Art Sherman likes what he sees since his dual classic winner has arrived back at his Los Alamitos Race Course base.
A wide-open field of 15 has been pre-entered is this year's Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), headed by a powerful 3-year-old group.
