Going into the first turn, it was the filly Rachel Alexandra and Big Drama (right) sharing the lead.
Going around the first turn, Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird was in the back of the pack.

As they approached the far turn it was Rachel Alexandra maintaining the lead.
Coming around the final turn Rachel Alexandra was at the head of the pack.
It looked like no one was going to catch Rachel Alexandra heading for the final stretch.

Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird (left) came on strong down the stretch.
Mine That Bird gave it all he had but in the end Rachel Alexandra was the winner.
