Hip 11 at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale; 2011 Filly out of Rare Gift. Sold for $200,000. Rare Gift won the grade III Ladies Handicap, and earned $292,078. Her dam, Rare Blend, was a grade II winner who earned $657,785.
Hip 74 at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale; 2011 Colt out of Coral Sea. Sold for $600,000. Colt is a half brother to grade II winner Cool Coal Man.
Hip 111 at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale; 2011 Colt out of Lady Lochinvar. Lady Lochinvar is the dam of grade III winner Aurora Lights and grade II winner Master Command, who is also by A. P. Indy.
Hip 124 at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale; 2011 Filly out of Million Gift. Million Gift is a daughter of the great Sunday Silence and Maplejinsky, dam of champion Sky Beauty. Million Gift has produced stakes winner Million Seller, also by A. P. Indy.
Hip 125 at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale brought $675,000; She is a 2011 Filly out of grade II winner Miraculous Miss, who earned $1,032,307.
A. P. Sonata, Hip 128, was the highest seller of the A. P. Indys at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, bringing $1,100,000. The 2011 Filly is out of grade III winner Moonlight Sonata, dam of grade II winners Beethoven and Wilburn.
Hip 198 at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale; 2011 Filly out of stakes winner Private Gift. Private Gift is a half sister to grade III winner Alumni Hall and grade I winner Secret Status, who are both by A. P. Indy. Hip 198 failed to meet her reserve price and was not sold.
The hammer fell at $200,000 for the last A. P. Indy Yearling to sell at Keeneland. Hopefully, these babies will add a few more stakes wins to the legacy of A. P. Indy.
