Trained by Todd Pletcher and bred in Kentucky by the late James Hines Jr., Lawyer Ron won for the 12th time in 24 career starts and picked up his third graded stakes victory of the year.

Majestic Warrior, saddled by Saratoga’s leading trainer Bill Mott, broke awkwardly from the gate, spotted the field a few strides, and then raced back to capture the $250,000 Hopeful Stakes (gr. I) in electrifying fashion.

In the $250,000 Forego Handicap (gr. I), Midnight Lute took the lead rounding the turn of the seven-furlong test and rolled to his first grade I win by more than two lengths under substitute rider Shaun Bridgmohan.

Making only her second career start, Irish Smoke rallied from off the pace, took the lead at the eighth pole and sailed to an easy 3 1/4-length win in the Spinaway Stakes at Saratoga.

Under the seasoned hands of Eibar Coa, Mission Approved took an early lead and then found more in the final furlong, holding on for a shocking three-quarter-length victory in the $100,000 Saranac Stakes (gr. IIIT).

Rosinka overcame a scary sequence in the stretch run to win the $111,200 Glens Falls Handicap (gr. IIIT) over the inner turf course on closing day of the 2007 meeting at Saratoga Sept. 3.
