Runhappy, last year's sprint male champion, recorded his second public work of the year Sept. 1 at Keeneland, zipping five furlongs in :58. He is being pointed toward the one-turn mile Ack Ack Handicap (gr. III) Oct. 1 at Churchill Downs.
Runhappy, last year's champion sprint male, returned to Keeneland Aug. 25 for work over the track. It was his first recorded workout of the year.
Hall of Fame rider Calvin Borel, who retired in March, will return to the saddle Aug. 27 at Ellis Park in western Kentucky. The three-time Kentucky Derby (gr. I)-winning rider has 5,146 career wins.
