Nearly half of the runners pre-entered for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf made their previous start over foreign grass, as European invaders seek to continue their success in the one-mile contest for freshmen.
International Star closed with a rush to overtake favored Conquest Titan approaching the wire for victory in the Grey Stakes (Can-III), his first stakes win, Oct. 5 at Woodbine.
With multiple entries in both the Grey and Mazarine (both Can-III) stakes, trainer Mark Casse is a strong threat to sweep both juvenile events Oct. 5 on the Woodbine Polytrack.

Strike the Tiger, who had an historic victory in the Windsor Castle Stakes in Great Britain this year, and Two Notch Road, who broke his maiden in winning the Continental Mile Stakes at Monmouth Park in his turf debut, head a full field of 2-year-olds entered in the Sept. 4, $100,000-added With Anticipation Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Saratoga.
Bold Edge earned his first group I win Sunday, edging out Lend A Hand by a neck in the Prix Maurice de Gheest (Fr-I) at Deauville, France.
