A pair of group races in South America June 21 offer automatic berths to the Longines Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT) and Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I) this fall at Keeneland.

Winchell Thoroughbreds homebred Untapable, winner of last year's Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I), breezed five furlongs May 11, and on May 14 was shipped to Belmont Park to prepare for the Ogden Phipps Handicap.
Workouts of note May 4 included last year's 3-year-old champion filly Untapable and grade I winner Lea, who both worked in Kentucky.
