Three Chimneys Farm's Rainha Da Bateria will enter the Santa Ysabel Stakes (gr. III) as the only 3-year-old graded stakes winner in the field of nine, but will lose Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith for the 1 1/16-mile test.

Stakes winners Firespike and Quality Rocks top the respective male and filly divisions of the OBS Championship Stakes at Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. Jan. 27.
Trainer Chad Brown will seek to continue his recent dominance in the Sweetest Chant Stakes (gr. IIIT) Jan. 24 at Gulfstream Park when he saddles Consumer Credit in the one-mile turf stakes for 3-year-old fillies.

Jerry Hollendorfer's stakes-winning duo of Seduire and Light the City clash with dual graded winner Conquest Harlanate in the $200,000 Santa Ynez Stakes (gr. II) for newly-turned 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita Jan. 3.
When Ekati's Phaeton goes to the post in the $100,000 Old Hat Stakes (gr. III) Jan. 3 at Gulfstream Park, the filly will be starting a fresh season as a 3-year-old.
Squeezing through a tight opening along the rail in mid-stretch, Ol' Fashion Gal prevailed over favored Rainha Da Bateria to upset the $151,500 Jimmy Durante Stakes (gr. IIIT) Nov. 29 at Del Mar.
A field of 11 freshmen fillies have been signed up for the gr. III Durante over turf, and stakes experience is at a premium in the field, with Rainha De Bateria being the only added-money winner.

Turf test draws a talented and deep field of 2-year-old fillies from U.S. and Europe
It seems like just yesterday Stevens looked to have little or no shot to make the Breeders' Cup following knee reconstruction surgery. But if there is one thing we have learned about Stevens it is to never count him out.
It was a busy day Oct. 25 on the track at Santa Anita Park, where nearly two dozen participants in the two-day Breeders' Cup World Championships went through their final paces.
Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens, a 10-time Breeders Cup winner, will be riding in this year's event at Santa Anita Park, exactly 14 weeks to the day after undergoing total knee replacement surgery July 25.
