25 years ago today, Winning Colors won the Santa Anita Derby, her last start before becoming the 3rd filly to win the Kentucky Derby.
Santa Anita Derby (gr. I) runner-up has small chip in his right knee and will be sent to Rood and Riddle April 10 to have the chip removed, trainer Bob Baffert said April 7.
