Taris has been a proven sprinter since moving to the barn of Simon Callaghan late in 2014, but shined in her two-turn debut for the trainer in the 1 1/16-mile La Canada Stakes (gr. II).
Two proven graded stakes-winning sprinters will test their skill stretching out to two turns in the $200,000 La Canada Stakes (gr. II) Jan. 16 at Santa Anita Park.

Keeneland's January horses of all ages sale opened its four-day run Jan. 12 with mixed results, as gross fell but average gained and median remained level in a market widely described as "fair" by consignors.
Champion Blind Luck was bought back for $1.4 million when the six-time grade I winner did not achieve her reserve price at the Jan. 12 first session of the Keeneland January horses of all ages sale.
