Ken and Sarah Ramsey added another graded stakes winner to their list of homebreds by their stallion Kitten's Joy when Granny's Kitten wore down Western Reserve to score in the $125,000 Colonel E. R. Bradley Stakes (G3T) Jan. 21 at Fair Grounds.
Faces Western Reserve again after neck defeat
Six stakes and total purses of $845,000 for 11 races will be offered Sept. 3 when Parx Racing returns from a more than three-week break with a program for mostly Pennsylvania-bred runners.
Stakes winners Nonna's Boy and Res Judicata also are contesting the race, seeking their first graded stakes wins.
Colt's connections could have urged for a Belmont (gr. I) run June 11 off the 3-year-old colt's May 14 score in the Peter Pan Stakes (gr. II), but trust in their down-to-earth trainer and a long-term goal kept them grounded.
Claimed for $30,000 earlier this year, Almasty made that acquisition look adept Nov. 27, when he set the pace and ran away from the field to claim the $100,000 Commonwealth Turf (gr. IIIT) at Churchill Downs.
Lady Lara and Coffee Clique will be working Oct. 17 to find some semblance of their previously consistent form in the $200,000 Athenia Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Belmont Park.

Undefeated Italian Derby winner (Ity-II) Goldstream will make his first start for Australian Bloodstock Aug. 15, when he faces Belmont Derby (gr. IT) victor Force the Pass in the $450,000 Secretariat Stakes (gr. IT).
Paul Pompa Jr.'s Night Prowler, winner of the grade III Transylvania Stakes on the grass at Keeneland in his last start, is one of 11 3-year-olds entered in the $500,000 Penn Mile (gr. IT) May 30 at Penn National.

The win marks the second graded stakes win on the Santa Anita card for The Thoroughbred Corporation, which also owns Santa Anita Derby (gr. I) winner Point Given. The Thoroughbred Corp.'s Poetic also won the track's second race, an allowance race on turf, giving the stable three winners on the card.
Lazy Lode will seek a record third consecutive victory in the $400,000 Hollywood Turf Cup (gr. IT) Saturday.
Lord Flasheart, Single Empire, and Perssonet each worked Sunday in preparation for Saturday's $400,000 Hollywood Turf Cup (gr. IT) at Hollywood Park.
Edmund A. Gann's Timboroa upset the $141,650 Carleton F. Burke Handicap (gr. IIIT) Sunday at Oak Tree at Santa Anita, completing the 1 1/2 miles in 2:29.91 over firm turf while winning by 2 1/2 lengths.
