Josephine Abercrombie's Versailles, Ky.-based Pin Oak Stud announced that the 2014 stud fee for the recently retired multiple graded stakes-winning millionaire Alternation will be $7,500 live foal, stands and nurses.
B. Wayne Hughes' Spendthrift Farms announced its 2014 stud fees for 21 stallions both Kentucky-based and regional, led again by leading sire Malibu Moon whose fee jumped from $70,000 to $95,000 stands and nurses.
Multiple graded stakes-winning millionaire Alternation has been retired and will stand at owner Josephine Abercrombie's Pin Oak Stud near Versailles, Ky., in 2014. A stud fee has yet to be announced.
Favored Prayer for Relief turned the tables on his local nemesis Alternation and held off a determined run from Worldly by a head in the $175,000 Governor's Cup Stakes on the night of Aug. 17.
