Keeneland's September yearling sale opened Monday with a pair of million-dollar fillies by Bernardini and Curlin leading higher average and median.
A Pennsylvania-bred daughter of Bernardini brought a winning bid of $1.2-million from Sheikh Mohammed's bloodstock manager John Ferguson, making her the top-priced yearling to this point at the 2014 sale.
