Ring Weekend appears to have found a home on the grass after taking the $300,000 Saranac Stakes (gr. IIIT) by 2 3/4 lengths over longshot Smooth Daddy in the final stakes of the 2014 season at Saratoga Race Course Sept. 1.
After acing his graded stakes debut Aug. 8 with a 23-1 upset of the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (gr. IIT) at Saratoga, Wallyanna looks to continue his success Sept. 1 in the Saranac (gr. IIIT).
The first runners broken and trained last year at Gelfenstein Farm have shipped to South Florida and are in training with Antonio Sano.
On paper, the $1.25 million Travers Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga Race Course appears to be a three-horse race among Bayern, Tonalist, and Wicked Strong, there are several improving 3-year-olds who could be potential upsetters.

Let's Go Stable's undefeated Divine Oath will make his stakes debut April 19 in the $200,000 Coolmore Lexington (gr. III) at Keeneland after failing to draw in to the Toyota Blue Grass (gr. I).
Toyota Blue Grass (gr. I) contenders Big Bazinga and Extrasexyhippzster were out at Keeneland April 6 for morning workouts as they prepare for the upcoming race.
Three-time stakes winner Storming Inti and 2013 Generous (gr. IIIT) victor Global View are the most accomplished horses in a full field of 12 that were entered in the Transylvania Stakes (gr. IIIT) April 4.
A full gate of 14 runners is looking like a strong possibility for the 90th running of the $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) Saturday, April 12 at Keeneland.
If you listened closely enough at Gulfstream Park after the $150,000 Palm Beach Stakes (gr. III) March 1, you could almost hear the cheers from California, and perhaps beyond, as Gala Award entered the winner's circle.
