Melnyk Racing Stables' Leigh Court punched her ticket to the Breeders' Cup World Championships by outrunning the competition to win the Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes (gr. II) at Keeneland Race Course Oct. 4.
Stopshoppingdebbie has won her first nine races, all at Emerald Downs, and seeks to hit the big time when she tackles five foes at Santa Anita in the L.A. Woman Stakes (gr. III), her first graded test.

Eight stakes were elevated in or to graded status and 11 were downgraded for 2014 during the meeting of the American Graded Stakes Committee Dec. 4 in Lexington.
Godolphin Racing's Wedding Toast took charge at the start and held on for a head victory over hard-charging longshot Toasting in the $400,000 Comely Stakes (gr. II) Nov. 30 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Aqueduct's Comely Stakes (gr. III) drew a field of 10 3-year-old fillies for a run at graded black type...and a $400,000 purse.
Ciao Bella Luna and Lighthouse Bay head an overflow field for the $250,000 Lexus Raven Run (gr. II) at Keeneland Oct. 19, one of the final graded sprints limited to 3-year-old fillies in 2013.
Owner Maggi Moss said Sept. 23 she has sold grade I-winning 3-year-old filly So Many Ways to Katsumi Yoshida of Northern Farms in Hokkaido, Japan, for breeding purposes. The purchase price wasn't disclosed.

Steve Beneto's Sweet Lulu shipped across the country, ran on dirt for the first time, tackled graded stakes company, and emerged victorious in the $500,000 Test Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga Race Course Aug. 24.
