The first major event of the Gulfstream Park Championship Meet will take place Dec. 7 with the Claiming Crown, a collection of eight stakes races worth a total of $1 million.
Maggi Moss' So Many Ways got back on track with a strong off-the-pace victory in the $400,000 Charles Town Oaks for 3-year-old fillies at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races Sept. 21.
Trainer Marty Wolfson sent out four horses in the $100,000 Musical Romance Stakes at Gulfstream Park Sept. 21, and hit the board with two of them when My Pal Chrisy won and Starship Truffles came in third.
Since fans at the Hallandale Beach track last saw her, the 4-year-old Ghostzapper filly established herself as a grade I winner and subsequently was purchased for $1 million at auction.
Averill Racing and Silver Oak Stable's R Free Roll will be seeking her third victory over males in as many starts in the July 6 Carry Back Stakes (gr. III) at Calder Casino & Race Course.
