Eclipse champion sprinter Big Drama returned from a layoff of more than 6-Â½ months with a 2 1/4-length victory in the $72,750 Whippleton Stakes Sept. 4 at Calder Casino & Race Course.
Big Drama, winner of the Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) and a finalist for champion sprinter at the Jan. 17 Eclipse Awards, will begin his 5-year-old campaign against a short field in the Mr. Prospector (gr. III).
Morning Line, who last came into his own during the second half of his 3-year-old campaign and is expected to be one of the top older horses in 2011, makes his season debut in the Hal's Hope Stakes Jan. 8 at Gulfstream.
