Favored Silentio battled between horses in the stretch and nosed out Summer Front to win the $250,000 Citation Handicap (gr. IIT) Nov. 29 at Betfair Hollywood Park.
Multiple grade I winner Game On Dude and Travers (gr. I) victor Will Take Charge both drew well for the $500,000-added Clark Handicap Presented by Norton Healthcare (gr. I) to be held Nov. 29 at Churchill Downs.
Alain and Gerard Wertheimer's homebred Silentio, third in the Nov. 2 Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT), will make his Betfair Hollywood Park debut Nov. 29 in the $250,000 Citation Handicap (gr. IIT).
Eclipse Award hopeful Game On Dude worked a strong four furlongs at Betfair Hollywood Park Nov. 24 and afterward trainer Bob Baffert said he would ship to Churchill Downs Nov. 27 to compete in the Clark Handicap (gr. I).
A trio of contenders for the Nov. 29 Clark Handicap (gr. I)--Golden Ticket, Bourbon Courage, and Finnegans Wake--turned in their final works Nov. 23 for the premiere race of Churchill's autumn meet.

Horse of the Year Wise Dan will launch a title defense in the Nov. 2 Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) from post 8 in a field of 10 off his only loss of 2013. Among his challengers is the horse who beat him, Silver Max.
A good number of the Oct. 26 works at Santa Anita were by Breeders' Cup candidates getting in major licks before the Nov. 1-2 World Championships, including Classic contenders Mucho Macho Man and Moreno.
