Despite admirable objective accomplishments, some very good sires like Dixie Union seem fated not to be fully appreciated within their lifetimes.
Two horses who were unplaced in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), Normandy Invasion and Vyjack, have been added to the list of possible candidates for the May 18 Preakness Stakes (gr. I) at Pimlico.

One day after Orb took the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), it appears only a few of the 18 other horses that ran in the Derby will run back in two weeks in the Preakness Stakes (gr. I).
