As expected, Haskell Invitational (gr. I) winner Verrazano will retire to Ashford Stud, it was announced Oct. 29. His final race will come Nov. 1 in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (gr. I).
Grade I winner I Want Revenge will enter stud for the 2014 season at Ben and Elaine Walden's Pauls Mill Farm near Versailles, Ky. A stud fee has not yet been announced.
Slim Shadey returns to his favorite distance of 10 furlongs as the 122-pound highweight in the $200,000 Charles Whittingham Memorial Handicap (gr. IIT) on the turf June 8 at Betfair Hollywood Park.

Vyjack, whose four-race winning streak at Aqueduct ended with his third-place finish in the Wood Memorial (gr. I) April 6, returned from his efforts with some mucous detected in a post-race examination, his trainer said.
Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez sustained a slight fracture of his first rib on the right side and a small bone chip near his right wrist as the result of a spill in the seventh race at Aqueduct Racetrack April 7.
Undefeated Wood Memorial winner (gr. I) Verrazano and runner-up Normandy Invasion are headed for a rematch in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) May 4 at Churchill Downs.
Verrazano turned back the challenge of Vyjack and held off a late-closing Normandy Invasion in a formful edition of the $1 million Wood Memorial (gr. I) April 6 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Trainer Todd Pletcher, who will saddle heavy favorite Verrazano in the April 6 Wood Memorial (gr. I), gently debunked the "Derby Jinx" about a horse winning the Kentucky Derby without racing at 2.
