Roman Dancer Wins in Homecoming Race

New York-bred Roman Dancer shipped in from California to race in his home state for the first time in the $150,000 Bay Shore Stakes (gr. III) at Aqueduct Saturday. Sent off as the 3-1 second choice in the wagering, the bay son of Polish Numbers rallied in the stretch under Kent Desormeaux to earn a 1-3/4 length win over Warners in the seven-furlong race.

Warners, Quest Star Entered in Ocala Stakes Races

Triple Crown nominees Warners and Quest Star are entered in separate stakes races on Monday's Ocala Breeders Sales Company's six-race card. Warners, who sold for just over $1 million at the March 2001 2-year-old sale, will make is sophomore debut in the OBS Sprint Stakes, while $150,000 purchase Quest Star goes in the 1 1/16-mile OBS Championship Stakes.
