John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farms near Lexington has released its 2014 stallion roster and stud fees, headed by Stormy Atlantic and Midnight Lute, who will stand for $30,000 and $25,000, respectively.
Hill 'n' Dale Farms announced July 16 that grade I winner Violence will stand the 2014 breeding season for $15,000.
Orb is a modern representative of a long and happy association between the Janneys and the Phipps family.
Violence, one of the winter book favorites for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), has been officially retired from racing and will reside at John G. Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farms near Lexington.
Grade I winner Violence, among the early favorites for this year's Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), sustained a fracture to his right front medial sesamoid and is off the Triple Crown trail.
Fast-improving Orb was golden in his stakes debut for trainer Shug McGaughey in the $400,000 Besilu Stables Fountain of Youth (gr. II), coming from off the pace to run down odds-on choice Violence for a narrow win Feb. 23.

As expected, the "all others" wagering interest was the heavy 6-5 favorite after the first day of betting in the first Kentucky Derby Future Wager pool was completed Feb. 8.
Churchill Downs oddsmaker Mike Battaglia made "All Others" the strong choice over Shanghai Bobby and Violence in the first pool of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager, which opens a three-day run Feb. 8.

Trainer Todd Pletcher said both Shanghai Bobby and Violence are on target for their respective 3-year-old debuts, the Jan. 26 Holy Bull (gr. III) and the Feb. 23 Fountain of Youth (gr. II).
The equine Violence now must be considered a leading Triple Crown prospect for owner Black Rock Thoroughbreds and trainer Todd Pletcher.
Favored Violence remained unbeaten in three starts when he ran down front-running Fury Kapcori for victory in the $750,000 CashCall Futurity (gr. I), the final graded stakes of the autumn meet at Hollywood Park Dec. 15.

Trainer Bob Baffert, long a major player in the CashCall Futurity (gr. I), formerly the Hollywood Futurity, expects to have four entrants in the Dec. 15 renewal.
Violence proved profitable in the $200,000 Nashua Stakes (gr. II) for 2-year-olds Nov. 4 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
