B. Wayne Hughes' Spendthrift Farm has acquired the breeding interest in Itsmyluckyday, most recently runner-up in the Aug. 2 Whitney Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga Race Course.
Itsmyluckyday, the 6-5 favorite, pulled clear to win the $160,500 Salvator Mile Stakes (gr. III) by 1 1/2 lengths. The son of Lawyer Ron covered the mile in 1:34.88 July 6 at Monmouth Park.
Trainer Eddie Plesa Jr. confirmed that Itsmyluckyday, runner-up in the 2012 Preakness Stakes, will point to the July 6 Salvatore Mile (gr. III) at Monmouth Park as expected instead of wheeling around to the Met Mile.
Itsmyluckyday continued his progress on the comeback trail May 24, clearing Code West by a comfortable 1 1/4 lengths in the $75,000 Majestic Light Stakes at Monmouth Park.
Itsmyluckyday, runner-up in the 2013 Preakness Stakes (gr. I) and winner of the Holy Bull Stakes (gr. II) early in his 3-year-old season, rolled to an authoritative victory April 26 in a minor stakes at Gulfstream Park.

With back-to-back impressive performances under his belt, Itsmyluckyday looks like a colt with a good future ahead of him.
Itsmyluckyday defeated champion Shanghai Bobby and set a track record at Gulfstream Park in the process when he won the $400,000 Holy Bull Stakes (gr. III) Jan. 26.
