Owners and trainers will have more race options for their horses during the 2014 Dubai World Cup Carnival under recently announced changes to the $37 million program, which begins Jan. 9.

Favored Spice Route, making his first start in 2010, emerged from the pack in upper stretch and swept to an easy win in the $153,999 Singspiel Stakes (Can-IIIT) on Queen's Plate day at Woodbine July 4.

Heros Reward and Mission Approved, winners of last year's Highlander (Can-IIIT) and Singspiel (Can-IIIT) stakes, respectively, are back to defend their titles in each event June 21 at Woodbine. The turf races are part of the $1 million Queen's Plate undercard.
Mission Approved wired 11 rivals in taking the $153,624 Singspiel Stakes (Can-III) on the Woodbine turf course on Queen's Plate Day June 22.
Rahy's Attorney, a surprise winner of the Connaught Cup (Can-III) last month, will try to make it back-to-back stakes victories on the Woodbine turf course in the $150,000 Singspiel Stakes (Can-III) June 22. The race marks the return to action of 2007 Queen's Plate victor Mike Fox.
