Shine Again to Ruffian and Shiny Band to Floral Park

Trainer Allen Jerkens is planning an all-out weekend attack on Belmont Park when he sends out half-siblings Shine Again and Shiny Band, as well as Puzzlement, in separate stakes events. Shine Again is pointed toward Saturday's $300,000 Ruffian Handicap (gr. I) and Shiny Band will contest Sunday's $100,000 Floral Park Handicap (gr. III). Puzzlement will start in Saturday's $150,000 Jerome Handicap (gr. II).

Queen Bee

Things were back to normal for the Edward P. "Ned" Evans stable on June 22. Atelier Heads Top Flight at Big A

Atelier, a solid fourth last out in the Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I), will carry high weight into the grade II, $150,000 Top Flight Handicap Friday at Aqueduct. A good field of nine will face the starter.

Mystic Lady Looks to Sting Honey Bee Field

Five-time graded stakes winner Mystic Lady leads a field of six postward in the 1 1/16 mile, $200,000 Honey Bee Handicap at The Meadowlands Friday night. The Thunder Gulch filly annexed the Cotillion (gr. II) in her last start and the Jersey Derby (gr. III) earlier this year at Monmouth. Mystic Lady will carry Eibar Coa and 122 pounds for conditioner Mark Hennig.
