Millionaire River Keen Retired

Hugo Reynolds' River Keen, who hit the peak of his form by winning the Woodward Stakes (gr. I) and Jockey Club Gold Cup (gr. I) at Belmont Park in consecutive starts in the fall of 1999, has been retired from racing.

Former Claimer Wins Bay Meadows Handicap

Richard Englander's Devine Wind collared pacesetter River Keen in the stretch and drew away to a one-length win over Irish Prize in the $200,000 Bay Meadows Handicap (gr. IIIT) Saturday at Bay Meadows. Claimed for $40,000 at Hollywood Park in May, Devine Wind earned $110,000 and his first stakes victory with the win.
