Plans for a Quarter Horse racetrack in southeast Kentucky were detailed before the Kentucky Racing Commission Sept. 24, but the panel said it wants more financial data before it considers granting Southern Bluegrass Downs a racing license.

Tuesday, June 11, 2002On Saturday, TVG will unveil a new show devoted to Quarter Horse racing.Called "The Quarters," it will feature on-site production from Los Alamitos Racecourse in Cypress, California, and run from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. (ET) on Thursday through Saturday and 9 p.m. to
midnight (ET) on Sunday each week.
The American Quarter Horse Association reported that its membership reached a record level in 2001, with 333,886 members on its roster at the close of business on Dec. 31.
