Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course said it will make good on a pick three result that was calculated in error June 5 because of a breakdown in tote communications before post time of the second race in the sequence.
A new refund and consolation payoff policy for "Pick Three" wagers in California goes into effect May 24, the state horse racing board recently reported.

Saturday's national pick three wager sponsored by the NTRA and linking three races broadcast nationally by CBS returned $50.40 for every dollar wagered.
The first of three national pick three wagers sponsored by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association will be offered Saturday, linking the $250,000 Dallas Turf Cup Handicap, the $250,000 Hollywood Breeders' Cup Oaks (gr. II), and the $750,000 Stephen Foster Handicap (gr. I).
In conjunction with the "NTRA Summer Racing Tour on CBS," the National Thoroughbred Association will offer a national Pick Three.
The Big Three Pick Three wager, which linked Saturday's three major Kentucky Derby prep races, returned $121 for every $2 wagered on the correct combination.
For the next two weekends, the Churchill Downs Simulcast Network will offer a pick-three wager linking turf races from Calder Race Course, Churchill Downs, and Hollywood Park. The wager carries a minimum bet of $1 and will link Calder's 11th race, Churchill's 10th race, and the fifth race from Hollywood Park.
Monday's $500,000 Diana Handicap (gr. IIT) is both the last race of the Saratoga meet and the first race of a national pick-three wager on "America's Day at the Races." The final two legs of the pick-three are the Arlington Matron Handicap (gr. III) from Arlington International and the Del Mar Handicap (gr. II).
