Midas Eyes Skipping Millions, Headed for Strub

Trainer Bobby Frankel, who was considering the Sunshine Million Classic instead of the $300,000 Padua Stables Sprint at Gulfstream Park for Midas Eyes, called another audible Sunday morning. He said the son of Touch Gold would be pointed to the $300,000 Strub Stakes (gr. II) at Santa Anita on Feb. 7.

Prado Paired With Sky Mesa Again

Jockey Edgar Prado will ride Haskell Invitational runner-up Sky Mesa in the Aug. 23 Travers Stakes. Prado took off Sky Mesa, whom he had ridden in the colt's four previous career starts, to ride Peace Rules to victory in the Haskell.
