Katy Texas, a filly by Valid Expectations consigned by Costanzo Sales, agent, was purchased by John R. Mulholland for $100,000 to top Wednesday's second and final session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2005 June Sale of 2-Year- Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age.

The opening session of the 2004 Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's August yearling sale was as hot as the weather in Central Florida when the sales company established new records for gross revenue, average, and median price. The average of $52,271 was the highest ever for the sale, breaking the record of $44,945 that was established in 1999.

Triple Crown nominees Warners and Quest Star are entered in separate stakes races on Monday's Ocala Breeders Sales Company's six-race card. Warners, who sold for just over $1 million at the March 2001 2-year-old sale, will make is sophomore debut in the OBS Sprint Stakes, while $150,000 purchase Quest Star goes in the 1 1/16-mile OBS Championship Stakes.
