Trainer Cole Norman is facing manslaughter charges in Hot Springs, Ark., for his role in a fatal accident that left an 86-year-old woman dead.

The Louisiana Racing Commission on Friday upheld trainer Cole Norman's six-month suspension and $1,000 fine for two separate incidents late last year involving total carbon dioxide violations.
Beginning Thursday, Jorge Lara will be the trainer of record of horses racing at Oaklawn Park now with Cole Norman, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
The 2006 race meet at Harrah's Louisiana Downs came to a close on Saturday with a 4% increase in average daily handle.
The Daddy, winner of the last year's Super Derby (gr. II), has been retired from racing.
