A Nebraska veterinarian has been accused of injecting racehorses with vodka. It is believed to be the first prosecution for administering alcohol to racehorses in the United States.
Saturday, January 20, 2007The Nebraska State Racing Commission has served hearing notices to seven trainers of horses whose post-race samples tested positive for clonidine, a drug used in humans to treat high blood pressure. The commission released the names of the trainers Thursday as a matter of public record.
