The William Inglis & Son Melbourne Great Southern mixed sale generated a gross of approximately Aust$4,923,000 ($3,811,239 in U.S. funds) during its four-day run that ended May 21. Last year, when there were an additional 350 horses cataloged, the gross was approximately Aust$5.9 million ($4,567,603).

The average price for the 262 horses that sold was Aust$9,965 ($7,213), up 14%, and the median price was Aust$7,500 ($5,429). The clearance rate was 89%.
